Ben began working at WJOB in Hammond, Indiana, in February 2013. The radio station put a strong emphasis on the incorporation of video into radio. Throughout his first year at the station, Ben helped run a live video stream of the morning radio shows, as well as basketball games.
Beginning in June 2014, the station started beta testing a system in which numerous radio stations from around the country would send them a script of their local news stories, a reporter at WJOB would read the stories in front of a green screen, and the separate news videos for each station would be edited and sent out that same day for each station's respective website. Ben's role throughout this process was Video Director. |
